Why does adoption have to take so long?

--Delana H. Stewart

Isn’t that the millionaire dollar question? Why so much red tape? Why does the journey have to take so long.

Perhaps there is something being developed in you (or those around you–spouse, children, parents, friends, community) in regards to adoption or a specific need of the child you will one day raise.

“The persistence, perseverance, standing on dock, standing on pier, mother daughter by lake, woman girl lake, waiting by lake

and dedication that you

experience in the time of

waiting to adopt

is preparation for

those very same things

which you will need after

your child comes home.”
